Chainsaw Massacre

We nearly got through winter with the amount of firewood we had prepared in spring last year, we were just a month and a half short of having enough supply.
This could only mean one thing! Gather the boys, sharpen the chain and fire up the chainsaw!!!!

The tree we felled would of been 35meters tall, with a circumference of at least 60+cm. It took us all afternoon to drop, cut, split and load the timber. Stevo, Stevce, Youngy, call him what you want, was great, he was apprentice to Dad, which meant he was allocated loading the tray with the split wood.Unfortunately Stephen pull a back muscle and was done for the day at about 3pm. The site supervisor Jonee Dad Koleski was not only in charge of allocating work to Stevo but took on the back breaking work of splitting the wood!!!!

As seen in the photos the girls didn't forget about us and prepared a lovely lunch for us, while the kids enjoyed seeing the aftermath of daddy's chainsaw massacre with his Stihl MS861!!!!

Rest assure Stevo was well compensated for his hard days work with a dozen of Kosharra Springs finest free range eggs.....
