As the days are starting to get shorter, it's a friendly reminder of what's ahead. Winter as dull as it is, has some upside. Footy, warm winter meals are some positive things that come to mind. I must admit sharing a cosy tea with my lovely is my favorite, accompanied by a handful of teddy bear biscuits of course..... Well as you can see by the photos, we are preparing for a long winter and to all of you who thought I've gone into hiding can now see where I've been spending my time, out in the woods cutting, splitting and stacking wood.
The stack in the photos should last us about half of winter, so if any of you city folk want to come up and lend a helping hand to get the last half, you're more than welcome to. Mention this blog and I won't charge you for the farming experience.
I must admit I've told a lie in this blog. Sharing a cosy tea is second on my winter favorites list. Number one is the romantic evenings spent in front of the fire with my lovely wife..... I can just picture it now, a bottle of Cab Sav. and Marvin Gayes Sexual Healing playing in the background, now that's Winter!
